Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct (make smooth or straight) your paths. Proverbs 3: 5-6
Today the world has taught us to lean on our education, careers, investments, connections and even family. We trust in these things because they are close to us. Yet the bible tells us that cursed is a man who puts his trust in another man. I pray that we may put aside earthly wisdom and self and put on God’s trust. Allow the Lord to direct you and make straight your ways.

This Little Light
A little girl got home from Sunday school, where she had been taught the verse: Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and give glory to our Father who is in heaven.
She asked her mother, when she repeated the verse, what it meant.

Her mom said, “Well, it means that when you are good and kind and thoughtful and obedient, you are letting Christ’s light shine in your life before all who know you.”

The very next Sunday in Sunday school, the little girl got in a bit of a fracas with another student and created somewhat of an uproar–to such an extent that the Sunday school teacher had to go and find her mother to get her settled down a bit in the class.
Her mother was concerned when she got to the classroom and said, “Sweetie, don’t you remember about letting your light shine for the Lord before men?”
The girl blurted out, “Mom, I have blowed myself out.”
Many of us have done just that. In our relationship to Christ, our light has gone out.

I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love Ephesians 4:1-2
(NKJV) Take time and do realities check today. It’s a stock count day. are you walking the way Gods expects you to. And if you do are you able and lowly, patient with others and covering their weakness in love. May the Lord help me and you to live up to His standards?

endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Ephesians 4:3-6 (NKJV)
The body of Christ need unity more than anything else today. take time and bless those that belong to other congregations. What about those that you share same local church and you are not really in unity with? there are more things that should unite us than those that divide us, things that matter most.

But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers Ephesians 4:7,11
(NKJV) You feel as though you run short of what God is asking you to do, but a measure of gift has been deposited within us. Let us pray that our saviour reveals his calling in our lives and that we may fulfil our destiny. There is a responsibility on this earth that you only can execute. Let’s pray for wisdom, his wisdom and revelation, and then for boldness to act.

that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head–Christ– Ephesians 4:14-15 (NKJV)
I see people chasing after preachers in the city; we are tossed every time a wind blows. Some make you vomit, others take your money. I wonder if the revival that comes from visiting big names will last for some time. it takes dedication and relationship with God to stay connected and revived. Only locals can maintain and guard revival. be firm in what you believe. Stop looking for shortcuts!

that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:22-24
Let us have nothing to do with the old man. Let’s allow the born again man to come out and lead the way. Present your weakness to the Lord for strengthening and cleansing. It’s not easy to live righteously but with God all things are possible. Take a step of faith today and crucify the old man.
