By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; and by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. Proverbs 24: 3-4
Note three key words; Wisdom, Understanding, and Knowledge. We seek deep ability to comprehend understanding) of the word of God, which settles deep in our spirit (knowledge). The bible is very clear about knowledge “my people suffer due to luck of knowledge”. More important though is ability to apply that knowledge – Wisdom.
May our Lord expand your biblical knowledge. May you be filled by his wisdom. Remember the bible defines foolishness in two always, a fool says in his heart there is no God, and a fool rejects knowledge. Let’s build our lives, homes, and families with Godly wisdom. Don’t be a fool by rejecting his knowledge.

Finishing the race
It was Monday night, August 3, at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. At the track and field stadium, the gun sounded

for the 400-meter semifinals. About 100 meters into the race, Britain’s Derek Redmond crumpled to the track with a torn right hamstring.

Medical attendants rushed out to assist him, but as they approached Redmond, he waved them all aside, struggled to his feet, and crawled and hopped in a desperate effort to finish the race.
Four years earlier he had also qualified for the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, Korea. Ninety seconds before his heat he had to pull out
of the Olypics because of Achilles tendon problems. Following that injury, he had five surgeries. Yet somehow he had qualified again for this 1992 Olympics, and he’d just suffered a career-ending injury.
But he said to himself, “I’m not quitting. I’m going to finish this race.” He works his way, hopping, crawling at times down the
lane.
Up in the stands, a big guy wearing a T-shirt, tennis shoes, and a Nike cap that said “Just Do It” across the front barreled out of the stands, hurled aside a security guard, ran to Derek Redmond’s side, and embraced him. He was Jim Redmond, Derek’s father.
Jim was one of these sports dads who changes his whole life for the sake of his athlete child. He changed jobs. He moved to find the best training for his son.
Now, arm around his son’s waist, Derek’s arm around his dad’s thick shoulders and neck, they continue down the track.
Mom and sister were watching this race back home on television. His sister, who was pregnant, went into false labor. Mom is weeping. There, at the stadium, the crowd is standing, cheering. Derek and his daddy work their way around the track until, finally, arm in arm, they cross the finish line.
If that’s the way an earthly father responds to his son who is determined to finish the race no matter what the price, how much more does God, our heavenly Father, run to the side of his son or
daughter who says, “I’m finishing. I don’t care how much it hurts. I don’t care if I’m hanging on a cross. I’m finishing.”

Galatians 6:9 Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.
Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us
Revelations 3:11 I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, so that no one will take your crown.

We give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and the love which you have for all the saints. Colossians 1:3-4 I often pray for other saints in different church groups and/or geographical locations. It’s great to feel connected with the body of Christ and break the boundaries that divide us. We recently had a week of prayer and fasting for Haiti. I believe that God will revive that nation. Take time and listen to the heart of God and intercede for others.

because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel, which has come to you, as it has also in all the world, and is bringing forth fruit, as it is also among you since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth. Colossians 1:5-6 The message that we are on transit to heaven is rarely preached today. We enjoy getting on top of the live here on earth, sometimes putting our heavenly destination at risk. Keep the heavenly hope burning hot and don’t let daily activities take hold of you to the extent that you “lose the plot to heaven”. Keep feeding on the Gospel, the word of truth and bring forth fruits that will last.

For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding Colossians 1:9 That’s my prayer for you this week: wisdom, understanding and knowledge. These are pillars of a mature Christian. You must feed on his word, you must go deeper today. Seek God’s deliverance and have your ears opened, tune in to the feed of the Holy Spirit. Stop following what others tell you blindly but seek a personal revelation today. When did you last hear his voice – direct? He is our daddy and he wants to speak to us. Open up your spirit and let him talk to you.

that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy. Colossians 1:10-11 The quality of our walk is important to God. The end will not justify the means. You and I will account for the way we walk and our works will be “processed” through fire. Let do this in style: pleasing our Lord, bringing lasting fruits, walking in strength and confidence, full of goodly character, and full of his demonstrated power. Don’t accept it any other way. It’s all out for our lord, 24/7.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. Colossians 1:15-17 This always reminds me of Hebrews chapter 1, we are called to worship Jesus, who at the centre of Gods prophetic calendar. Starting with creation, Jesus holds it all together. Be strong today and have the confidence that no power or principality can take us away from our saviour. For those struggling with addictions and other forms of weaknesses, put your trust in the Lord and seek his deliverance. He is faithful and he will deliver you. Jesus in the answer to failing marriage, stagnating career and low self esteem. He wants to build something out of you, he is keen to promote you and there is nothing that can stop him if you collaborate with him.
