Obedience, vision transfer, receiving Gods master plan for your life
Genesis 28:1-2, 10: 1 So Isaac called for Jacob and blessed him. Then he commanded him: “Do not marry a Canaanite woman. 2 Go at once to Paddan Aram,[a] to the house of your mother’s father Bethuel. Take a wife for yourself there, from among the daughters of Laban, your mother’s brother. 10 Jacob left Beersheba and set out for Harran.
Obedience is a virtue that is difficult to find today. We tend to focus on self now days and champion “do what is best for you”. Throughout the scriptures, obedience is demonstrated as core to receiving God’s blessings, including transfer of vision and victory over our enemies. Joshua took Jericho because he obeyed, Elisha received double portion of Elijah’s anointing because he obeyed in masters Command. The eerily church received day of Pentecost outpouring as a result of obeying to “wait in Jerusalem”. Through obedience, we receive impartation of God’s vision in our life.
Genesis 28:11-12 11 When he reached a certain place, he stopped for the night because the sun had set. Taking one of the stones there, he put it under his head and lay down to sleep. 12 He had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.
In pursuit of God’s given vision, it helps to take time and rest in the presence of God. Rest in terms of understand our Lord as revealed in the scriptures and spending time in prayers. Prayers still work and it’s the most effective way of establishing a link and fellowship with our Lord. Take time and gather the stones (revelation of Christ) and use them as a pillow (resting in presence of God). The lord will open heavens and send his angels to attend to your prayers.
Genesis 28:14-15 14 Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south. All peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring.[d] 15 I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”
When we spend time in God’s presence, we receive insights of what He has in store for us. Our future is made clear and past promises confirmed. God is a self revealing God, and he does so when we spend time in His presence, worshiping and serving our masteresting assurance of Jesus and Lord and you will receive Gods revelation. Chasing after man is very tiring indeed, but God is forever faithful to His own.
